This therapy has evolved over thousands of years into its present form of bio-energy healing, and is still evolving on an ongoing basis.

The ancient eastern and latest western scientific approaches recognise that our bodies and everything around us is made up of energy, the very same energy that is the life force of the universe. Bi-Aura works on the energy system contained in and around the body synergistically. Here I quote Lynne E Ridley BETD BAT reg as her explanation of the energy field is brilliant.

"The energy field is a fusion of two forms of energy: universal energy from space and earth energy from the planet. Vortices of energy, known as chakras, are located at specific places in the body. These chakras act as energy receivers, generators and transformers. Universal energy enters at the crown chakra and earth energy enters at the base chakra; these energies flow up and down the centre of the body meeting at other major chakras. Individual chakras transform the energies to vibrate at the appropriate frequency required to feed the organs of the body dependent on that chakra. Beyond the physical body but penetrating it, are several interconnecting layers of energy; these make up the energy field otherwise known as the aura. Energy and information are constantly exchanging between the chakras and the aura."

The energy system is fuelled by the life force or "Chi" as the Chinese know it, and this energy is piped throughout the body by meridian lines and the minor energy centres or chakras which stem from the major system situated from the base of the spine to the top of the head. In the traditionally understood system there are 7 major chakras, each one having particular responsibility for individual physical organs within its catchment area. Imbalances in the energy system manifest in the form of energy blockages or disturbances through established patterns if physical, mental or emotional trauma locked in the auric field over a period of time.

The natural instinct of the body is to heal, and this is where the job of Bi-Aura practitioners comes in as they are trained to locate imbalances in the energy system making use of their knowledge of ‘the workings’ of energy which enables them to assess, diagnose and treat the problem areas. A unique aspect of the Bi-Aura training greatly enhances the sensitivity of the hands which can then feel different energies and be used like magnets to draw out the trapped energy. They can also be used to channel fresh energy in, or flush out the system. Various techniques involving a series of hand movements in sequence are used to stimulate the energy into flowing freely to the affected area, activating the body's own amazing capacity to regenerate and heal.

Clients remain fully clothed throughout the session while standing and sitting. Light contact only needs to be made on a few occasions.
